Trex Company, Inc. is the manufacuter of Trex decking and railing, the leading  brand of lternative decking lumber in North America. 
Trex Company turns millions of pounds of recycled and reclaimed plastic and   waste wood each year into Trex decking.  Most of these raw materials come from recycled plastic grocery bags, reclaimed pallet wrap and waste wood.  Trex Company pruchases approximagely 300 million pounds of used polyethylene and an equal amount of hardwood sawdust each year, materials that would normally end up in a landfill.  The company estimates that it receives about 50% of the reclycled grocery bags available on the market.
